Facilitated Online Support Group

The first of our monthly faciltated online support groups is on Tuesday 10th October at 7pm. Please contact us to register for the link.

Whilst the timing is mostly suitable for WST this month, we are happy to look at different options if we have the participation.

We are delighted that we will have Ms Maureen Tan as our facilitator.

Maureen Tan

Psychotherapist and Counsellor

Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, PhD Candidate in Population Health.

Maureen has been a mental health clinician who specialises in navigating life adjustment, specialising in psycho-oncology; concurrently, lecturing in the counselling discipline at Edith Cowan University. She is interested in the primacy of relationships and how individuals come to define their sense of selves within relationships. Maureen has also been a group facilitator delivering support and psychoeducational groups for the last 7 years; groups for people diagnosed with cancer at different stages of the cancer trajectory as well as family members who experience adjustment struggles, grief and loss. Maureen’s approach is, firstly informed by what matters most to each individual, towards living a life of purpose and connection.  Having previously been a meditation and yoga teacher for 20 years, she endorses a holistic and contemplative, a mind-body approach towards mental health and wellness that is part of the Eastern tradition and her cultural heritage.
